About the Event
Help us make the season a little brighter for seniors across Collin County! Our Fall Harvest Box initiative brings together shelf-stable food, household essentials, and thoughtful extras to provide additional support and encouragement to the seniors we serve.
Community members, businesses, families, and groups are invited to assemble a Harvest Box using our suggested item list and deliver it to Meals on Wheels Collin County.
What will volunteers do?
Volunteers will help us prepare Fall Harvest Boxes for distribution to seniors throughout Collin County. Activities may include receiving donated boxes, checking and organizing donated items, sorting supplies, assembling Harvest Boxes, labeling and preparing completed boxes for distribution, and assisting with general event-day organization.
Volunteers will play an important role in making sure each Harvest Box is organized, complete, and ready to bring a little extra joy to a senior this fall. 🍂💚

2 Tyson Premium Chunk White Chicken Breasts — 7 oz. packets or easy-open pull-tab cans

2 StarKist Charlie’s Lunch To-Go Kits

1 Libby’s 4-pack microwavable vegetables

2 Campbell’s Easy Peel Vegetable Soups

1 10 oz. microwavable complete meal — recommended: turkey with hearty vegetables, chicken, or chicken & noodles

1 Quaker Instant Oatmeal — microwavable pouches, 10 per box

1 package Wheat Thins Original Crackers

1 10–18 oz. jar of peanut butter
-
1 package of four 4 oz. mixed-fruit cups in light syrup or 100% juice
-
1 10 oz. jar of Simply Fruit jelly

1 package containing 6 or 8 cheese-and-cracker packs
-
2 bars of soap
-
1 container of sanitizing wipes

1 box of 110-count tissues
-
1 4-pack of toilet paper
Optional additions: Puzzles, games, and stamps.
